Before creating your first Movie Night event, there’s one small but important step: telling Mochi where to announce Movie Night updates. This keeps everything organized and makes sure your community never misses an event.

Once this is set, creating and managing Movie Nights becomes quick and effortless.

📢 Set the Movie Night Announcement Channel

This channel is where Mochi will post:

• Upcoming Movie Night announcements

• Event details (movie name, time, channel)

• Notifications when an event is scheduled

To set it up, use:

/movienight channel

You’ll be asked to select a channel.

Best Practices for Choosing a Channel

• Use a dedicated events or announcements channel if you have one

• Avoid busy chat channels where messages scroll quickly

• Make sure members can see the channel (read access is enough)

💡 Tip: You only need to set this once. You can change it anytime if your server layout changes.

• You can create Movie Night events using slash commands

• Or plan them visually through the Mochi Dashboard

• Mochi will handle posting reminders and event details automatically
