Setup Moderation Roles & Logs

Empower your mods. Track what matters.

Moderation keeps your community safe — but it works best when it’s clearly defined and well-documented. Mochi helps you do both with a simple setup: assign trusted roles and keep a record of all mod actions in one place.

These settings live in your Dashboard under Moderation.

1

Assign Moderator Roles

Give specific roles the power to moderate using Mochi’s features.

How to Set It Up:

  1. Go to Moderation Moderator Roles

  2. Select your trusted mod role (e.g. @Moderators)

  3. Hit Save.

Once added, this role can use Mochi’s moderation commands — no extra steps needed.

2

Set your Mod Log Channel

Capture every moderation action — bans, warnings, kicks, and more — in a dedicated log channel for transparency and accountability.

How to Set It Up:

  1. Go to ModerationLog Channel

  2. Choose the channel where logs should be posted (e.g. #moderation-logs). If you haven't created a channel for logs, Mochi can create one for you.

  3. Hit Save.

Mochi will now post a clean, timestamped record whenever a mod takes action.

Why It Matters:

Structure = clarity. Clarity = confidence.

Clear roles create order. Logs build trust. Set your mod roles so the right people have the power to protect your space. Enable logs so every action is tracked — no confusion, no finger-pointing.

This setup helps you run a tight ship — with clear boundaries, shared responsibilities, and full visibility.
