Kicking a Member

A firm reset when someone needs to step away.

Kicking removes a member from the server temporarily. It’s useful when a situation needs an immediate pause, but a permanent ban isn’t necessary. A kick gives everyone space to cool down — including the member involved — without closing the door entirely.

Use kicks for:

  • Escalating disruptions

  • Ignoring repeated warnings

  • Short-term conflicts

  • Clear rule breaks that don’t require a ban

All kick actions are logged for transparency.

🌱 Best Practices

  • Use kicks as a cool-down, not a punishment

  • Pair kicks with clear communication when possible

  • Review warning history before kicking

  • Avoid repeated kicks — escalate thoughtfully if behavior continues

A kick should feel corrective, not hostile.

✨ Why It Matters

Kicking:

  • Stops disruption quickly

  • Gives space without permanent consequences

  • Helps moderators act decisively

  • Keeps escalation proportional

When used thoughtfully, kicks protect the community while leaving room for return and improvement.
