XP Boosters are consumable items that temporarily increase how quickly members earn experience. They’re ideal for encouraging activity, rewarding participation, and adding momentum during events or busy periods.

Like all consumables, XP Boosters:

• Activate only when used from inventory

• Last for a set duration

• Automatically expire and remove themselves

No micromanagement needed.

How to Create an XP Booster

Follow these steps to add an XP Booster item to your store.

Create a New Item

1. Open the Mochi Dashboard

2. Go to your Store

3. Click New Item

4. Select the store where the item should appear

Set the Name, Price, and Stock

Give your XP Booster a clear, motivating name.

Then configure:

• 💰 Price — how much the booster costs

• 📦 Stock Quantity — how many are available

Toggle Unlimited if you want the booster always in stock.

Choose the Reward Type

Under Reward Type, select Consumable.

This ensures the item is used once and removed afterward.

Select the Consumable Type

Choose XP Boost.

This tells Mochi that the consumable affects experience gain instead of currency.

Set the Boost Percentage

Decide how much faster members gain XP while the boost is active.

You can set:

• A fixed percentage (example: 25%)

• Or a random range using the [range] variable

Example: [10-20] → Randomly boosts XP gain between 10% and 20%

Ranges add excitement and replay value.

Set the Duration

Choose how long the XP boost lasts:

• Minutes

• Hours

• Days

The boost:

• Activates only when the member uses the item

• Ends automatically when time runs out

• Is removed from inventory once expired

Customize the Item Display

Add a description explaining what the booster does and when it’s best used.

Optional:

• 🖼️ Thumbnail image

• 🖼️ Main image

These help the booster stand out in your store.
