Discord Invites Moderation
Protect your server from unwanted redirects.
Discord invite links can quickly pull members away from your community or be used for spam. Invites Moderation helps you keep control by automatically detecting and responding to unauthorized invite links.
This feature keeps your server focused, safe, and free from drive-by promotions.
Note: Ban Actions
Automatic bans are currently not supported by Discord auto moderation. At this time, Discord does not allow auto moderation rules to directly ban members.
If this policy changes in the future, Mochi will be updated to support it where appropriate.
🌸 What Discord Invites Moderation Does
When enabled, Mochi watches for Discord invite links shared in messages. If an invite is detected, Mochi responds based on the options you choose.
You decide:
How Mochi responds
Where invite moderation applies
Which roles are allowed to share invites
⚙️ Anti-Invites Options
Invite moderation follows the same simple structure as Mochi’s other auto moderation tools.
⏳ Timeout Member
Temporarily restricts a member from sending messages when unreadable text is detected.
You can choose how long the timeout lasts:
60 seconds
5 minutes
10 minutes
1 hour
1 day
1 week
This allows you to match the response to your server’s tone — from gentle reminders to stronger cooldowns.
💬 Custom Message
Send a friendly message explaining why the invite wasn’t allowed.
Example:
“Server invites aren’t allowed here — please check the rules or ask a moderator 😊”
Clear messages help prevent confusion and repeat issues.
🚨 Send Alert
When enabled, Mochi sends an alert whenever an invite is detected.
Turning this on unlocks:
📌 Logging Channel
Select the channel where invite moderation alerts should be sent. This keeps moderators informed without needing to watch every channel manually.
🚫 Ignored Channels
Choose channels where invite moderation should not apply.
Useful for:
Partner announcements
Staff coordination channels
Approved promotion spaces
Invites posted in ignored channels will not trigger moderation.
🎭 Allowed Roles
Select roles that are allowed to share Discord invite links.
Members with these roles can post invites freely without triggering moderation. Helpful for:
Moderators and staff
Partners
Event organizers
🌱 Best Practices
Clearly define where invites are allowed
Use friendly custom messages
Enable alerts in public servers
Exempt trusted roles only
A little structure goes a long way in preventing unwanted promotion.
✨ Why It Matters
Uncontrolled invite links can:
Pull members away
Attract spam
Create confusion
Discord Invites Moderation helps you protect your community’s focus — automatically and politely.
